Homosexuality is a sexual orientation that is characterized by emotionalic, romantic, and sexual attraction between same-sex people. Homosexuals are mainly attracted to people of the same sex, and may be attracted little or no to the opposite sex. There is a difference between homosexuals and those who feel different Sexual identity (transgender) who feel they were born to the wrong sex, and those who want to change their sex (Transcendental). Sexual orientation is the sexual orientation of the person (eg, bisexual, heterosexual), whereas sexual or gender identity is the sense of belonging to a particular sex
Some scientific studies have shown that homosexuality is one of the natural variations in sexual orientation in humans. This behavior extends from earthworms up to primates. Scientifically, homosexuality is not an optional behavior but a complex interaction of biological and environmental factors. Several studies have shown that genes are responsible for sexual orientation. One of the reasons for this trend is that according to a 2009 study, there is much evidence to support the impact of sexual orientation on genetic factors.
Homosexuality was removed from the list of diseases and mental disorders in 1973, according to the American Psychiatric Association.

Historically, homosexuality has fluctuated over time and from place to place, between acceptance and tolerance, as a small or big sin, suppression of the phenomenon through the enactment of laws, customs and social provisions, and the death penalty.
Since the mid-20th century, the criminalization of homosexuality has gradually no longer classified as a disease in most developed countries and most of the Western world. A global movement has emerged since the end of the 19th century to increase the recognition of homosexual people, their public presence and equality of their legitimate rights, , Work, military service, medical care, and enactment of anti-bullying legislation to protect homosexual minors. But the legal status of homosexuality is very different among countries. Homosexuals couples are legal in some countries, while in other countries homosexuality is a punishable offense, and punishments may result in death penalty.
