Alfred Nobel The Man Behind The Nobel Prize



Since 1901, the Nobel Prize has honored men and women from all over the world for outstanding achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology, medicine and literature, and working in peace. The foundations of the prize were laid in 1895 when Alfred Nobel wrote his last will, leaving much of his wealth to create the Nobel Prize. But who was Alfred Nobel?  a man whose diverse interests are reflected in the prize he founded.Alfred Nobel was born on October 21, 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden, where he spoke five languages fluently and is still 17 years old.He was known as the inventor of dynamite and has 355 patents. He was also a chemist, engineer, businessman, author and pacifist.
He died on 10 December 1896 in Sanremo, Italy at the age of 63,A total of 31 million SEK (today about $ 265 million) was left to fund the Nobel Prizes.
